Photo shows a wind generation set located in Dongfang, Hainan province on Aug. 22. In recent years, wind generation projects have undergone rapid development in Hainan. 
 
At present, five projects have been established and have gone into operation, such as the Dongfang Wind Plant, Huaneng Wenchang Wind Plant and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation Sigeng Wind Plant. 
 
At the end of June, new energy resources installed capacity in Hainan totaled 249.5 megawatts, including wind power projects of 244.5 megawatts. In 2015, the wind power installed capacity is predicted to be 744.5 megawatts.
