Hainan East Ring Railway to start new operating services from August 16
According to the new plans announced by the Ministry of Railways, Hainan East Ring Railway Station will adopt new operating services commencing August 16, reports xinhuanet.com.
High-speed trains on the railways will run at a speed of 200 km per hour instead of 250 km per hour and trains along the 308-kilometer route will be scheduled for 22 pairs of trains per day.
The first Haikou-Sanya service leaving Haikou Station will be scheduled at 7:50 am instead of 8:00 am from next Tuesday and the last for departure will be 18:15 pm compared to the current 19:50 pm.
Besides, the first departure and final departure between Haikou East Station and Sanya Station will be at 7:00 am and 22:00 pm.
On weekends or passenger-flow rush hours, service on the Hainan East Ring Railway will be added to 28 pairs along with trains running every 20 minutes subject to passenger demand.
Meanwhile, ticket prices will drop by 5% along with the speed.
