Latest past and forecast track of tropical storm Nock-Ten
  
Tropical storm Nock-Ten left the Hainan Island early Saturday morning and headed for the Guangxi Beibu Gulf, according to local weather bureau.

The storm struck the coastal area of Wenchang City Friday afternoon at around 17:40 pm.

Heavy rains and gale force winds started to pound on the southwest and eastern regions of Hainan yesterday and over 75,440 people in the province have been evacuated.
 
Affected by tropical storm Nock-ten, Haikou Meilan International Airport cancelled 87 outbound and inbound flights.
 
Near 20,000 fishing boats were recalled to the port and the shipping routes linking Haikou to other regions was closed from July 28.

Nock-Ten, moving west at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour near the center, was expected to enter the east part of Beibu Gulf this morning.
