Hainan invests RMB25.4b for key projects in Jan-May, 2011
The reporter has learnt from 2011 Promotion Conference of Key Projects in Hainan Province held by Development and Reform Commission of Hainan Province on June 22 that RMB25.42 billion was invested for key projects in previous five months this year, covering 35.1% of the annual scheme and increasing 27.1% comparing with that in the same period of last year.
It is reported that during the previous five months, 33 projects have finished more than 50% of the annual scheme; 59 projects have completed the investment over RMB100 million and 13 projects have achieved the investment above RMB500 million.
13 projects had been completed or in the end of construction, covering 34.2% of the total number of projects completed according to the annual scheme. Three five-star hotels in Haitang Bay, one five-star hotel in Xiangshui Bay and Boao State Guesthouse had been built. Reconstruction of dilapidated buildings in rural area have been completed, either. 800,000-ton methanol factory and 1,600,000-ton paper making factory have been established and put into production.
45 projects are in the peak time of investment and construction, including Phase I Project of Changjiang Nuclear Power, Phase II Project of Dongfang Power Plant, Haikou-Tunchang Express Way, etc.
19 projects have been commenced, covering 37% of the total number of projects planned to be started. The construction for Hongling water conservancy key project, Yingli 400MW crystal silicon solar battery, Hanneng 250MW thin film solar cell and HP project in Hainan Province have been come into operation.
The preparations for a series of key projects are accelerated. Boao Airport has been listed in the Layout of National Civil Airports as a new national branch civil airport. China Highway Engineering Consulting Group Company Ltd. has finished the assessment of pre-feasibility study of the expansion of Phase II of Meilan International Airport in Haikou.
