The man directed traffic in rain wearing only shorts and shoes in Haikou, capital of south China’s Hainan province on Sept 29.
Many netizens praised his actions as "kind-hearted" and "moving".
The Nanguo Metropolis Daily reported that the man named Guo Xiaoyang was asked by his brother, who is in charge of a construction site, to deal with equipments brought down by the storm.
