According to Hainan Railway Bureau, trains from Haikou to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province will be put into operation in July of this year, reports hainan.net.
The new express trains, with 8 pairs to run daily, are expected to relieve the pressure for Hainan passengers to get a ticket during Spring Festival rush period.
“Some local travel agencies also see the opening of new trains as a business opportunity. After the operation of new train routes, we are considering to provide new ravel routes by train for our customers, which will save a lot of money”, the reporter quoted a staff member in travel agency as saying.
