Hainan Airlines plans to set up duty-free goods company in Hainan
Hainan Airlines (600221) plans to establish a duty-free goods company in Hainan province, reports the Beijing News, citing a company filing. The new company will be founded by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Hainan provincial government and Hainan International Tourism Island, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines.
Hainan Airlines also plans to open several new routes this month, with flights from Sanya to Changsha city, Hunan province and Hefei, the seat of Anhui province.
Separately, HNA Group, the parent company of Hainan Airlines, will spend €431.6 million to acquire a 20-percent stake in Spanish restaurant group NH Hotel at €7 per share.
