Hainan generates $US1.43b in trade with ASEAN members in 2010
Southernmost China's Hainan province generated $1.43 billion in trade with ASEAN members in 2010, an increase of 31 percent on the previous year, according to the provincial commerce bureau.
The amount accounted for 13.2 percent of Hainan's total foreign trade volume of $10.8 billion last year.
By the end of 2010, Malaysia launched 157 projects in Hainan, involving $378 million in contracted foreign capital. Indonesia established 26 projects in the province, involving $12.94 million in contracted foreign capital. And Singapore actually invested $45.04 million in the province.
