Starbucks, the world’s largest coffee chain, will open a new store in Hainan, according to information revealed by Starbucks Greater China over the 2-day Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2011 held in Hainan on April 14, reports hainan.net.

During the conference, Li Jing, the Public Relations Manager of Starbucks Greater China said they have done deep research on coffee consumer groups in Hainan and environmental conditions for growing coffee beans and are very optimistic about prospects of the Hainan International Tourism Island.

It is the 3rd consecutive year for Starbucks to attend the conference of the Boao Forum for Asia, a high-end platform for communications between politics and business, to show its first-class brand.

Currently, Starbucks plans to have more than 1,500 stores in China by 2015 while expanding into 8 to 10 new cities every year.
