Sanya among top 10 Chinese cities with highest property price in 2010

"Property price list of Chinese cities in 2010" released lately put Hangzhou city on top of the list with new home price of 25,840 yuan per square meter, the highest in China's history. Beijing ranks second with new home price of 22,310 yuan per square meter, followed by Shanghai with new home price declining to 19,168 yuan per square meter.
The statistics cover 110 sample cities. The top 10 cities listed were Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Wenzhou (18,854 yuan per square meter), Sanya (18,319 yuan per square meter), Shenzhen( 16,978 yuan per square meter), Ningbo ( 13,438 yuan per square meter), Guangzhou (12,560 yuan per square meter), Nanjing (12,016 yuan per square meter) and Zhoushan (10,500 yuan per square meter).
From the statistical data, from January to June in 2010, housing prices maintained a rapid growth momentum, with the average price of the top 20 cities surpassing 8500 yuan per square meter.
