The 65-metre Azimut-Benetti: Ambrosia

Yachting Partners International has announced it’s presence at this year’s Hainan Rendez-Vous with the largest yacht ever to be shown there: the 65-metre Azimut-Benetti: Ambrosia. Whilst only in its second year, the Hainan Rendez-Vous, Asia’s first and only private aviation lifestyle exhibition, is fast becoming a ‘must attend’ event for anyone set on networking with an increasing number of Asia’s high net-worth individuals.

"YPI has been working with an Asian clientele for almost all of its 40 years in existence,” explains YPI Group CEO, Bertrand Vogèle. “However in the last few years we have noticed a significant increase in the number of requests from clients in the region asking about yachts to buy and charter.”

This new level of demand has encouraged YPI to fast-track its plans for increased presence and growth across the region.

"Our attendance at the Hainan Show is a part of that,” says Bertrand. “Bringing Ambrosia to this event shows how serious we are about bringing quality product to clients here. And we will be announcing some more far-reaching developments over the next few days…so stay tuned.”

Olivier Besson is YPI’s representative in China. “We are very pleased to be showing Ambrosia during Hainan,” he says. “She is a magnificent yacht and exactly what so many of our Asian clientele are looking for right now.”

Custom-built in 2005, Ambrosia is one of the largest and most technically advanced yachts ever to have been launched by the renowned Benetti yard in Viareggio, Italy. With naval architecture by Espen Oino and interior layout by award-winning French designer François Zuretti, Ambrosia offers her owner and guests an unparalleled amount of space, comfort and entertainment.

"She also features the much talked about diesel-electric Azipod propulsion system,” explains Olivier. “That makes her surprisingly fuel-efficient, very eco-friendly and very quiet…even when reaching her top speeds of 15 or 16 knots. Inside there is an amazing attention to detail with extensive use of marquetry and sublime hand-cut carpets. She really is a world apart from so much of what is on the market today.”

Fully MCA compliant, Ambrosia accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins operating with a crew of 20.
