YPI to bring 65-metre superyacht Ambrosia to Hainan Rendez-Vous 2011
"YPI has been working with an Asian clientele for almost all of its 40 years in existence,” explains YPI Group CEO, Bertrand Vogèle. “However in the last few years we have noticed a significant increase in the number of requests from clients in the region asking about yachts to buy and charter.”
This new level of demand has encouraged YPI to fast-track its plans for increased presence and growth across the region.
"Our attendance at the Hainan Show is a part of that,” says Bertrand. “Bringing Ambrosia to this event shows how serious we are about bringing quality product to clients here. And we will be announcing some more far-reaching developments over the next few days…so stay tuned.”
Olivier Besson is YPI’s representative in China. “We are very pleased to be showing Ambrosia during Hainan,” he says. “She is a magnificent yacht and exactly what so many of our Asian clientele are looking for right now.”
"She also features the much talked about diesel-electric Azipod propulsion system,” explains Olivier. “That makes her surprisingly fuel-efficient, very eco-friendly and very quiet…even when reaching her top speeds of 15 or 16 knots. Inside there is an amazing attention to detail with extensive use of marquetry and sublime hand-cut carpets. She really is a world apart from so much of what is on the market today.”
Fully MCA compliant, Ambrosia accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins operating with a crew of 20.
