HNA Group Co Ltd, China's fourth-largest airline group and parent of Hainan Airlines Co Ltd and Hong Kong Airlines, ordered 48 aircraft from Boeing Co, Dassault Falcon Jet Corp and Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation at the Hong Kong Asian Aerospace Airshow on 07-Mar-2011.

The sizeable orders comes as the company looks to expand its fleet and cater for rising passenger and cargo demand in the Mainland Chinese/Hong Kong market. The fleet boost for the relatively unknown Hong Kong Airlines adds further weight to its efforts to become a formidable competitor for Cathay Pacific over the next decade.
