China's Hainan Airlines Group is expected to place an order for Airbus and Boeing aircraft on 8 March at Asian Aerospace in Hong Kong.
 
The carrier says in a press invitation that it is "is planning to sign both an aircraft purchase agreement and also [a memorandum of understanding] agreement with leading aircraft manufacturers at the event".
 
Boeing, Airbus and business aircraft manufacturers Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream will be present at the signing, it adds.
 
Hainan Airlines is one of China's four dominant airlines besides Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. Hainan Airlines Group also owns a business jet subsidiary, Deer Jet.
