Hainan Airlines (600221.SH) and China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK) on Friday signed a strategic cooperative agreement, under which the two sides will cooperate in air ticket services, mobile check-in, call center services, and during-flight phone call services.

Hainan Airlines is expected to become the country's first airline company that offers telephone call and Internet surfing services during flight.

The two companies will also conduct cooperation in such areas as hotel management and financial services, according to Wang Xiao, general manager of China Telecom.
