Raffles Hainan is delighted to announce that Danny Dan has been appointed as Executive Chef where he will lead the culinary team at the luxury resort at Clearwater Bay on Hainan Island.


A native of Malaysia, Danny’s career has spanned more than 18 years in the culinary and hospitality industries where he has become a well respected chef with passion and dedication.


Danny started his career as a chef in Malaysia where as a young man he became immediately noticed for his cooking. During the early stages of his career he gained valuable experience at the renowned Mera Soho restaurant in London, as well as some of the most highly regarded restaurants in Malaysia, before moving to China in 2010. Since then he has been working in key culinary roles at the Westin Financial Street in Beijing, Sheraton Ningbo and most recently as Executive Chef overseeing both the Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula Resort and Four Points Shenzhou Peninsula.

Danny will be overseeing all culinary operations at Raffles Hainan, including at Bai Wei, Sapori, Sing Ken Ken and Desa restaurants.
