Marriott opens its first business hotel in Haikou, Hainan
Marriott Hotels brand celebrated the opening of its first hotel in Haikou, Hainan Province, on Monday.
Under a long-term management agreement with property owner, Shenzhen Tiley Real Estate Group, Haikou Marriott Hotel is the third Marriott International property in Hainan.
"At Marriott International we are very proud to be launching our 73rd Marriott International Hotel across six brands in China, taking the total number of properties in China under the iconic Marriott Hotels brand to 17 properties,” said Henry Lee, Greater China chief operations officer for Marriott International.
"This occasion also marks our very first hotel in Haikou and the first Marriott International business hotel to open in Hainan Province, continuing our rapid expansion throughout China.”
The 386-room business hotel is located a short walking distance to the Hainan International Exhibition Centre, 45 minutes drive from Haikou Meilan International airport, and 10 minutes drive from the railway station.
Haikou Marriott Hotel offers over 4,000m2 of meeting space, which includes a pillar-less Grand Ballroom and a seaside lawn that can accommodate up to 800 guests. There is a wide array of food and beverage choices, including three restaurants and four lounges or bars.
The Executive Lounge, located on the 8th floor of the hotel’s west wing, offers business services as well as complimentary food and drinks for Executive Floor guests.
Other leisure facilities include three outdoor pools and The Spa Centre, which features hot spring pools, steam saunas, dry saunas, Jacuzzi tubs, and massage rooms.
