Earth Hour is an annual global event organized by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). It is held on one Saturday in March, encouraging people to turn off or dim their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour. The event raises awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. From 2007, hundreds of millions of people across 135 countries have participated in Earth Hour.
