SuperStar Virgo sets regular sails to Sanya between April 7 and Oct 26
Explore the tropical rainforest of Sanya and sail through the emerald green waters of Halong Bay with Super Star Virgo. Star Cruises, the leading cruise line in Asia-Pacific, offers a dozen spectacular shore excursions to China’s southernmost paradise and Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage Site to passengers cruising out from Hong Kong this summer.
Between 7 April and 26 October, SuperStar Virgo, Star Cruises’ flagship in Asia, will be setting sail for Sanya and Halong Bay weekly from Hong Kong on a 4D3N itinerary. The trips will showcase the natural wonders of these sunny and gorgeous destinations and the authentic favors of local cuisines.
Sanya: the Hawaii of China
Sanya’s powdery-white, squeaky-clean beaches and azure waters were extensively featured in Chinese blockbuster “If You Are the One 2”. The Tropic Tour will take you to Yalong Bay, the number one bay in China where the Chinese romantic comedy was filmed. Stretching 7,500 kilometers in length, the half-moon bay in the southern end of Hainan is a heaven for sunbathers looking for the perfect white velvet sand to rest on. Do not miss the trip to Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Rainforest Park, which is set in the hillsides looking over the resort district. The 1,506-hectare national forest park is the first of its kind in Hainan. The park is ideal for tourist activities like mountain climbing, outdoor exploration, sightseeing, science education and folk customs experience. The tour is inclusive of a Hainan style lunch featuring four famous dishes of the province for you to see, feel and taste the best of Hainan in one go.
On the End of the Earth Tour, travellers will visit this must see spot of Hainan, once believed to be most remote spot on Earth, for its glorious ocean view and rich history. Since ancient times, many historical figures, officials and scholars have left their footprints there and carved poems on those rocks standing on the seashore. To get a bird’s eye view of downtown Sanya, go up the Luhuitou Park located in Luhuitou Peninsula. It covers five hills with a total area of 82.88 hectares and a highest elevation reaching 181 meters. The hilltop is noted for being an excellent place to catch the sunrise and sunset. The tour also includes a scrumptious seafood lunch at a local hotel.
Other splendid selection includes the Li and Miao Ecological Cultural Tour (with coconut lunch), the Nanshan Temple Tour (with vegetarian lunch), the Golf Tour, and the transfer service to Summer Mall.
Halong Bay: one of the new seven wonders of the world
Thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes will leave you in awe when SuperStar Virgo cruises into Halong Bay, which was voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2011. Many of our tours will take travellers to the UNESCO World Heritage Site on sightseeing boats so that they can get up close to the gorgeous limestone mountains and cliffs jutting from the calm waters. To capture more picturesque scenic beauty, choose our Cave Tour to explore the Heavenly Cave located in the southwest of Halong Bay. Acclaimed as the most beautiful primitive cave of the stunning bay, Heavenly cave has a unique system of stalactites and stalagmites in different forms and shapes.
For an alternative cultural experience, join the Ha Nam Village Tour. At Ha Nam Village, you can admire the peaceful landscape and immerse in the simplistic local life by learning how to make bamboo boats and fish net handicrafts. You may also join the Land & Cruise Tour to visit the Royal Amusement Park, where you can enjoy a blend of modern and ancient performing arts through watching the Water Puppet Show and the traditional music and dance performances.
Other Halong Bay “Irresistible Excursions” include the Cruise & Land Tour, the Titop Island Tour, and the Close up of Halong Bay Tour.
From 7 April to 26 October, SuperStar Virgo will be offering a 4D3N cruise to Sanya and Halong Bay, a 4D3N cruise to Kaohsiung and Taichung, and a 1-night high seas cruise every week from Hong Kong. Holidaymakers wishing to extend the trip and prolong the fun can go on a monthly 7D6N cruise to Keelung (Taipei), Kaohsiung, and Taichung.
