Hong Kong Airlines to increase flight frequencies to Haikou for Spring Festival
Hong Kong Airlines announced flight frequencies to be increased between 25th January and 11th February, 2014 to satisfy the travelling demands of passengers in Chinese New Year. A total of 72 additional flights to and from Denpasar (Bali), Maldives, Haikou and Nanjing will be provided.
Prior to that, Hong Kong Airlines has offered 14 additional flights to and from Sanya for the passenger peak during Christmas holidays. Mr. Li Dianchun, Director of Commercial Department, Hong Kong Airlines said, “Since Chinese New Year would come earlier in 2014, most of the passengers have already started their ticket booking. On top of hot routes like Taipei and Bangkok, island destinations including Denpasar, Maldives and Haikou are also first choices of travelers this year. To meet the needs of the passengers, Hong Kong Airlines would enhance its flight frequencies to provide them plentiful flights during the festival.”
Hong Kong Airlines currently operates flights to 22 destinations in China and Southeast Asia, including popular leisure travel destinations Okinawa, Denpasar and Maldives. By October, the passenger volume of Hong Kong Airlines has reached nearly 4 million in 2013, which has grown up 35% comparing to the last year. It is expected the surge in travelers during the peak seasons of Christmas and Chinese New Year would create another record high for the Company.
