Haitang Bay Gloria Sanya offers free WIFI service across its properties
Since the opening of the hotel in September 2012, the WIFI service was previously offered in all the property with a difference between public areas, such as the lobby, the meeting & convention center and the rooms. While high debit WIFI was available in public and working areas, the rooms were equipped with a more modest wireless connectivity. Previous studies demonstrated that free WIFI service was more important in business hotels than in resort hotels. Nicolas C. Solari, general manager, explained that due to the success of portable devices such as tablets and smart phones, this predicament is shifting.
Customers nowadays use internet not only for business, but also while in holidays for a multitude of purposes, and thanks to mobile devices, they can do so from their room or even the swimming pool. “We have reached a leader position in service quality by developing a customer centric management, and having learned to listen to guest comments. It was a natural step to address this important concern from our clientele next. Although this upgrade required a substantial investment, together with the owning Co. we believe that allowing people to enjoy streaming movies anywhere in the property is a valuable competitive advantage, as not every hotel will offer such a fast and complete WIFI coverage, although this expectation will become the norm in the next few years”. The system was upgraded to double capacity for full connectivity, allowing for any media requirements. Happy surfing on the new wave!
