Riding the wave of Sanya’s increased popularity in both wedding and high profile events, Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya recently hosted its first By Invitation Only – Wedding Show from 17th to 19th June.

Riding the wave of Sanya’s increased popularity in both wedding and high profile events, Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya recently hosted its first By Invitation Only – Wedding Show from 17th to 19th June. With blue sky and South China Sea as its backdrop, the host hotel proudly presented a wedding event tagged the Art of Happiness and the meaning of True Love.
The multi-layered event, started with a reality TV show following couple’s preparation to their big day, showcasing traditional Chinese culture in a beautiful and natural surroundings of Haitang Bay. Jointly hosting the event was I DO I DO, a popular wedding consultancy, and Sharon Lee Wedding Academy. Invited to the events were long list of VIPs from top lifestyle and wedding Media both national and international including from far afield, Russia.
Also unveiled during the show, a stunning oceanfront Wedding Chapel scheduled to open later this year. The first for Haitang Bay, the chapel will be housed on the beach, built on infinity pool to create a floating effect, circular-designed to maximize the 360 degree view of South China Sea and able to comfortably accommodating up to 80 attendees. Below the chapel is another multi-purpose function space with wide-angled floor-to-ceiling glass windows to capitalize the view.
Mr. Wan Hong, China’s champion florist with a list of international awards, created the most stylish floral design throughout the event. Wan’s design masterpiece was ever-present in Rotunda, the resort’s pride – a round-shaped function hall for top private events. To complement the event, Kempinski’s team of dedicated chefs created tailor-made wedding menus and cakes.
The 3-day event took advantage of photo and video shoot of the hotel’s 1.2km Venetian-styled seawater canal, 130 years old Qing Dynasty Pagoda, award-winning 4000sqm seaside lawn, Las-Vegas-themed bachelor party at Kempinski’s private 5-bedroom pool villa, golf session on resort’s 18-hole practice course, wedding ceremony at the beach and masquerade ball after party to celebrate the matrimonial, salon session on Chinese Wedding Trend and Culture by wedding experts Sharon Lee and Ms Yang Se (founder of I DO I DO). The event concluded in the final morning with a Tai Chi practice at the resort’s unique century-old Wood Art Museum courtyard.
