China Southern Airlines to add 6 airplanes in 2013
China Southern Airlines is planning to add 6 additional airplanes to its fleet this year to promote Hainan as an international tourism destination.
Last year, the CSA transported 6.71 million passengers to and from Hainan, and reported 4.5 billion yuan in sales profit.
These new aircraft will be operated by Airbus A320 to intensify flight frequencies from Hainan to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
In 2010, China Southern Airlines inked an agreement with the Hainan provincial government to base aircrafts in Hainan at a total price of 10 billion yuan within 5 years.
