Cheng Xiangwen, an expert specialized in the cultivation of the corn, works in the field at a cultivation center in local academy of agricultural sciences in Hebi City, south China’s Hainan Province, Jan. 16, 2011. With the typical tropical climate and favorable environment for the growing of the crop throughout the whole year, Hainan, the southmost Province in China, has the largest and most influential farming area for the research of the cultivation of the crops. From September to May in the next year, thousands of agricultural experts of some 500 organizations from more than 20 provinces in China come to Hainan with the seeds and plants to start scientific research, aiming to improve the speed and quality of the cultivation of the crop.
