A new seaplane tour between Sanya and Sansha is expected to be launched by the end of this year, according to Meiya Air Co., Ltd.

Recently, Meiya Air was authorized the license by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to be the first professional tourist airline offering water aircraft and amphibian aircraft activities.

At present, Meiya Air is planning to launch air tours and short-term air express routes from Sanya to Sansha and other surrounding islands. The whole tour will last around 70 minutes. At that point, tourists will be able to enjoy the beautiful tropical scenery as well as lovely coastal scenery of the city.

Meanwhile, Meiya Air will deliver 25 Cessna 208 Caravan and DHC-6 aircraft to Sanya, forming the largest seaplane team in Asia. These seaplanes aim to realize a handling capacity of 300,000 passengers by 2015.
