One&Only Sanya sets resort on a private coastline of Tufu Bay
This morning, the One&Only Sanya on the Hainan island of China was announced. The 180-room and villa hotel will sit amidst 40-acres of coconut palms and rosewood trees, offering views of Tufu Bay, a part of the South China Sea.
Material used to build the luxury resorts will showcase the natural elements of Hainan while the hotel plans to "weave pieces of the island’s historical tapestry" throughout the hotel’s decor by using original furnishings, fabric and art made by descendants of the area’s local tribes. Here’s a little more on what to expect from One&Only Sanya:
True to the brand’s heritage, One&Only Sanya will offer a variety of world-class cuisine showcasing regional specialties in restaurants overseen by internationally-acclaimed chefs. The resort will also house an indulgent One&Only Spa, honouring Sanya’s Chinese heritage by utilizing ancient Eastern traditions and holistic practices fused with modern spa therapies. In addition, meeting space will be available for bespoke gatherings, whether for business or pleasure.
There will also be a KidsOnly Club for your jet-setting youngins and a variety of sporting and entertainment facilities on-site. The resort is expected to open in 2014.
