Ceremony for ‘IHG Service Class’ held in Sanya Bainian Vocational School
An unveiling ceremony for the "IHG Service Class" was held recently in Sanya Bainian Vocational School.
The general managers of four IHG properties in Sanya attended the ceremony: Tony Marrinan, the GM of InterContinental Sanya Resort; Otto Kurzendorfer, the GM of Crowne Plaza Sanya; Eugene Lee, the GM of Holiday Inn Sanya Bay Resort; and Frank Michael Vieira, the GM of Holiday Inn Resort Yalong Bay Sanya.
The first charitable vocational education institution in China, BNVS was established in 2005. It aims to provide a 100% free two-year education to under-privileged teenagers who have migrated from the countryside to metropolitan areas. In 2010 following its BNVS Charity Gala, IHG donated a total of CNY795,500 to support IHG Service Classes in Beijing and Sanya — as well as the BN Charity Choir.
