Hainan Airlines, China’s fourth biggest airline company, will start
Shanghai-Urumchi-Istanbul flights with A-330 in July

Direct flights will begin between Urumchi of East Turkestan (in the northwest of China) and Istanbul city of Turkey.

China’s fourth biggest airline company Hainan Airlines focused on activities to start Shanghai-Urumchi-Istanbul flights in July. Officials from the company said that they planned to hold flights two times a week with A-330 type planes.

Noting that they wanted to use Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, Chinese officials said that talks were under way with officials of other airline companies to carry passengers to further destinations from Istanbul.

Meanwhile, China Southern airline company is also making market research for Urumchi-Istanbul flights.
