The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya is delighted to announce that two of their chefs have won top accolades at the FHC International Culinary Arts Competition 2010 in Shanghai with delicate culinary arts & professional skills.

Ken Li, Pastry Sous Chef, was crowned Gold Medal with live cooking Chocolate & Apple Dessert and Maurizio Bombini, Chef de Cuisine of Sofia restaurant was named Bronze winner for live cooking Salmon Dish.

Executive Chef Chris Southwick commented: "Both of them are worthy winners of this coveted award; they are very talented chefs who have worked extremely hard to develop their skills. And also display a great passion for cuisine and consistently try to exceed guest’s expectations. We are all proud of their achievements. "

As highlight of the FHC China – The largest and longest running trade fair in China for imported food, wine, beverages and hospitality equipment, annual FHC International Culinary Arts Competition is the leading international culinary arts competition in China, 2010 International Culinary Arts Competition taking place from November 10 to 12 at Shanghai which is the 14th successful edition. This year, the competition attracted 250 chefs from China and overseas competing over the categories.

Situated on an exclusive site along Yalong Bay in Hainan Province, the resort provides expansive views of the South China Sea and features 450 guest rooms, suites and private villas.
