Hainan Airlines to fly Beijing-Cairo route from November 2010
Hainan Airlines, the largest non-state owned airline in China, has announced that it will launch direct flights on the route from Beijing to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, in November, 2010.
Direct flights between Beijing and Cairo had been exclusively operated by EgyptAir, the Egyptian flag carrier and a member of Star Alliance.
The new service will be operated twice weekly using widebody Airbus A330 aircraft and will shorten travel hours between the two cities.
