Hainan Airlines will launch direct Beijing-Cairo flight as of Nov.5, 2010
 
Hainan Airlines has announced that it will start operating a non-stop Beijing to Cairo route on November 5, 2010 in a bid to meet the demand for air travel between the two countries.
The new service will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft. Outbound flights will leave Beijing every Wednesday and Friday at 00:30 and arrive in Cairo at 06:10 local time. Return flights will depart Cairo every Wednesday and Friday at 08:10 local time and arrive in Beijing at 23:55.
According to Hainan Airlines the new route is expected to greatly enhance communications in fields of economics, culture, and trade between China and Africa.
Hainan Airlines now has three routes linking China and Africa. To date, flights on the Beijing-Dubai-Luanda and Beijing-Dubai-Khartoum routes have carried a total of over 120,000 passengers.
