Hainan Pavilion at Shanghai Expo will offer 30 winners free trip

People have a chance to win a free trip to Hainan Island by visiting its pavilion at the Joint Chinese Provincial Pavilion during its culture week at the Expo.

The pavilion will select 30 visitors in a lucky draw to celebrate its culture week, which begins tomorrow and ends on Thursday, Li Guoliang, director of the island’s Expo project said yesterday.

Details of the draw will be announced soon, he said.

Various stage shows about the island’s people and history will be performed at Baosteel Stage each day during the week at 3pm and 5pm.

Visitors can also taste free tropical fruits, including coconut and papaya, from the island.

Kaiane Aldorino, Miss World 2009 from Gibraltar, will appear at a parade to launch Hainan’s culture week on Baocheng Road at noon tomorrow.

The Hainan Pavilion has attracted more than 3 million visitors, the largest number of all the Chinese provincial pavilions, since the Expo opened on May 1.
