Hainan will launch new science travel tours, including tropical agricuture,
tropical rain forest science, marine science, natural science and high technology.
 
According to a press brief Tuesday, the Hainan government will begin new science travel tours on topics such as agriculture, tropical rain forests and marine life. Hainan is a good location for travel because of its climate and land that is good for scientific study.
Five tours will be developed: tropical agriculture, tropical rain forest science, marine science, natural science and high technology. There are 11 science museums and 4 science bases on the tour.
The science travel tours will have positive effects, according to Hu Yueming, deputy director of Hainan Provincial Tourist Development Commission. "For one thing, it can enrich the tourism of Hainan. Tourists usually only focus on sightseeing and entertainment. The fun and experience of science tours will meet the demands of domestic and foreign tourists," he said.
Hainan will develop more science travel routes, such as industrial science and eco-environmental protection, as well as science camps in the summer and winter. The development of the new routes will depend on how well the science travel tours develop.
