Air
Sanya’s Phoenix International Airport has direct flights to all major cities and regions in China.
The airport is a short 20 minute drive from the city centre (11 km), about 40 minutes from Yalong Bay (亚龙湾) and about 60 minutes from Haitang Bay(海棠湾).
In addition, there is a high speed rail service from Sanya Station (10 minutes from airport) to Haikou’s Meilan International Airport (¥80 -¥95 / 2 hours) which provides connections to Singapore and Bangkok.
A new expressway allows speedy access to destinations beyond the city of Sanya such as Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay as well as resorts and towns further north along the east coast.
Both Sanya and Haikou’s airports have websites that can provide up to the minute arrival and departure information, as well as other useful information.

Rail
Haikou – Sanya Express
The newly opened high speed rail link between Sanya and Haikou, Hainan’s capital city, allows convenient access from Haikou’s Meilan International Airport to Sanya, as well as other towns on the east coast of the island such as Bo Ao Wanning and Qiong Hai.
Trains run regularly throughout the day from 7am.
West Coast Rail
The regular Sanya to Haikou rail service runs through the towns of the west coast and, with the help of a ferry, connects with the rail network on the mainland.
Daily services run from Sanya to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Buses from Sanya to other towns and cities in Hainan, as well as some cities in the Mainland depart from the main Bus Station in Jiefang Road, nearby Bu Xing Jie / Walking Street.
Tickets should be bought before boarding in the ticket hall by the main street entrance.
