According to the travel booking data on Ctrip.com, with its good air and warm winter, Sanya has become the preferred tourism destination for the 2014 Spring Festival Holiday among China’s 60 top tourism cities.

Aside from Sanya, Xiamen and Guangzhou are also very popular domestic tourism destinations for the 2014 Spring Festival holiday.

Zhang Yang, General Manager of Sanya Ctrip International Travel Agency Co., Ltd., said that tourists traveling to Sanya for the 2014 Spring Festival are mainly from the north of the Changjiang River regions including Shanghai and Beijing.

During the 2014 Spring Festival Golden week, the booking volumes of four and five star hotels in Sanya increased by 35% over the 2013 Spring Festival holiday, while that of family inns and hotel apartments increased by 37.5% compared to the same period of last year.
