2 local tourism regulations to come into effect in Hainan
Hainan Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau has approved two tourism regulations drafted by Hainan Provincial Tourism Development Commission: on tourism information center facilities and service qualification, and on tourism information collection.
Currently the commission has already set up nine tourism information centers in Baoting, Haikou, Sanya, Chengmai, Danzhou and other key cities and counties.
Tourism information centers serve three functions: tourism promotion, enabling tourists to know more about Hainan’s tourism resources and culture; consulting services, offering information on tourism related information, and assistance to tourists suffering accidents during their stay in Hainan; and complaints handling.
The Tourism Information Collection Regulation defines the means of collecting information, the scope and content of the information, and the collation and updating information.
