The Danzhou Lanyang or Blue Ocean Hot Spring
 
       
 
The Lanyang or Blue Ocean Hot Spring is situated in a canyon 12 kilometers from Danzhou and 149 kilometers from Haikou. The spa area is 6 Kilometers long and 500M wide giving a total area of en enormous 2 square kilometers! The Daily flow of water is more than 2000 tons with a temperature ranging from 43ºC-84ºC.
 
Lanyang is one of the largest spa areas in Hainan with more than ten natural spring outlets. The water contains zinc, strontium, lithium, bromine and other trace elements required by the human body moreover the quality and taste of the water remain consistently high. In the morning and evening, the hot spring area is enveloped in swirling clouds of piping hot steam. As well as the fantastic scenery, the hot springs are proven to have a positive effect on rheumatoid arthritis as well as dermal and cardiovascular problems making it an ideal place for some rest, relaxation and recuperation.
