2). History
It is the biggest agricultural base run by oversea Chinese. In 1952, about 25,000 over sea Chinese moved to Xinglong from Southeast Asia due to the bad relationship between Chinese & Southeast Asia courtiers including Indonesia, Malaysia. Philippines etc. Xinglong in Chinese means prosperous which showed the wish of the new immigrants for a better life.
Before the open of East Express from Haikou to Sanya, Xinglong was the most important stop on the way as it took more than 5 hours from Haikou to Sanya. So it was also called Empty City as all the groups arrived late afternoon for over night stay and left the next morning. So, the shows by ladyboy during the evening have been very famous and it is a must program for all group visitors.

– Indonesian Village
The village features Indonesian singing, dancing, snake acts and a complimentary cup of super-sweet local Xinglong coffee. As many Indonesian live here, visitors will enjoy different Indonesian dancing shows: umbrella dance, candle dance, plate dance, coconut shell dance and fan dance.
4). Local specials in Xinglong, Hainan
Coffee and tea are very two economic crops in Xinglong. Although the locally grown coffee is not well-known internationally, many travelers to the area still compare the coffee to the fine coffees of Brazil and Columbia. The most famous teas are Bitter Tea, Rice Tea and Vanilla Tea. The best place to buy them is in Xinglong Tropical Garden.
