Surrounded by the South China Sea’s abundant seafood resources, places for eating seafood can be found everywhere around Sanya. The most famous ones are Chunyuan Seafood Square, Xinmin Seafood Street and You Yi Seafood Square. In these places, you can bring fresh seafood yourself and have them cooked by the staff at the restaurant. The restaurants only charge you for cooking the food.
 
1.       Xinmin Seafood Street 新民街海鲜加工一条街
 
This street is a good choice if you like to enjoy your seafood on a budget and are ready and willing to dine in a casual setting,

Sanya No.1 Market is a well-known seafood supermarket in Sanya. Here you can buy live seafood and then take it around the corner to a crowded Xinmin Street where any of the restaurants will cook the seafood for you for a small fee per dish. In the evening, as you eat your meal, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the bustling night market.

Transportation: By bus, take No.1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 22, 31, or mini bus 4 and then get off at the No.1 Market bus stop.
2.       Chunyuan Seafood Square 春园路海鲜广场
 
  
Chunyuan Seafood Square is a lively place at night with over 40 stalls serving seafood. Usually people visiting Sanya will come here to enjoy local seafood. Here you can choose the material by yourself and only pay for the cooking process. There are two ways to have your seafood cooked here; hotpot and fried.

Transportation: By bus, take No. 3 or 12 or mini bus No. 4 and then get off at the Chunyuan Seafood Square bus stop
 
3.       Youyi seafood Square 友谊海鲜广场
 
 
There are plenty of seafood restaurants at Youyi seafood Square on Waimao Road. This seafood street offers a unique dining experience where you can pick your choice of fresh seafood at the restaurant where they will be glad to cook it to your liking. This is where you can find truly authentic Hainanese cuisine.
