After the professional business conference of the International Tourism Trade Fair is completed, the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China will organize over 60 purchasers from 8 countries to investigate the tourism itineraries in Hainan Island on the coming November 20. This is the largest international purchaser group we have ever received.
 
It is informed that after the annual International Tourism Trade Fair is over, the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China will make key recommendations about the tourism resources of our country to the international purchasers and organize them to conduct key investigation about tourism resources and itineraries of relevant provinces in China. The year of 2010 is the first year for the construction of Hainan International Tourism Destination; therefore the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China takes it as the key recommendation area during this coming International Tourism Trade Fair. Meanwhile Hainan has been determined as the key investigation area for the international purchaser group by the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
 
Currently besides more 60 purchasers from 8 countries, such as Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, etc., who have confirmed to take part in the Hainan Investigation Group, officials from tourism departments of other countries will also come to Hainan for investigation. It is informed that during the 4-day Hainan tour, the international purchaser group will take the important tourism cities and counties of Sanya, Baoting and Haikou as the key investigation objectives. In Sanya, they will focus on its coast vacation products, travel shopping, etc.. While in Baoting, they will pay special attention to the folk-custom and rainforest products. The international purchaser group will concentrate on the golf and coast travel products in Haikou. After the investigation is over, our province will also hold International Tourism Destination Special Promotion Conference to introduce our tourism resources and the development of tourism industry, especially the construction of the International Tourism Destination, to the international purchasers. In addition, we will invite them to communicate with the tourism professionals in our province concerning the problems found during the investigation.
 
"We hope to attract more international tourists to enjoy their vacations in Hainan in the next year by this intensive investigation of the international purchasers”, said by Lu Zhiyuan, Assistant of Governor and Director of Hainan Provincial Tourism Bureau. The number of international tourists has increased 16% compared with that in the same period of the last year. We are striving for attracting more international tourists in the next year.
