Delicious food is available all over the East Coast, where there are abundant amounts of seafood. Dongjiao (near Wenchang) and Wanning are famous areas for seafood including abalone, crab, shellfish, lobster, sea cucumber and more.
Apart from this, some of Hainan’s most famous delicacies are Dongshan Mutton, Hele Crab, Wenchang Chicken, Jiaji Duck, and Coconut Milk Chicken. All of which (except for Bamboo Rice) are originated in Hainan’s East Coast.
There are a few big well known restaurants in this area to try some of these specialties including the Dongshan Sheep Restaurant in Wanning. Numerous small restaurants and cafes also serve up this kind of cuisine.
