Siluhuayu Xinjiangren Restaurant is chain restaurants which were run by Muslim from
Xinjiang. Its Sanya branch is one of the representative Muslim restaurants in Sanya.
 
It is recorded that Islam had a more than 800 years history in Yanglan (羊栏). In Tang dynasty merchants from Arab and Persian Gulf came to Guangzhou and Quanzhou for trading through the sea way. Some of them went on shore at Sanya and settled down. Until Song and Yuan dynasty Muslims from Vietnam immigrated to Sanya and established the Hui villages. 
 
The two biggest Muslim villages in Sanya are Huihui Village (回辉) and Huixin Village (回新). They are both in Fenghuang Town (凤凰镇) wich is also called Yanglan.
 
In 1991 Sanya Islam Association was founded in Huihui village.
 
Nowadays there are around 8 thousand Muslims in Sanya. In the past most of them are lived on fishing and farming. But today they have changed their way of life. As Sanya is a tourist city, the Hui people are all engaged in tourism industry. They run travel agency, restaurants, family hotels and souvenir shops. Due to their diligence, Hui people have become the richest people at local. 
 
Local famous muslim food is Hui Fresh Fish Soup. Xibeiyijiaren Restaurant (西北一家人) is a typical Muslim restaurant. Except northwest Chinese Muslim food, they also offer fresh seafood. Siluhuayu Xinjiangren Restaurant (丝路花雨新疆人) is chain restaurants which were run by Muslim from Xinjiang. The Siluhuayu Xinjiangren (Sanya Branch) is one of the representative of halal restaurants in Sanya.
