Foreign-registered yachts permitted in Hainan’s 8 open water areas
In order to support the development of the yacht industry in Hainan Province, the ministry of transport of China recently approved the ability for foreign-registered yachts to pull in and out of docks at the open ports at the island’s 8 marine scenic spots for 6 months.
This new regulation marks a new movement for Hainan province to become the most open and free marine zone in China.
The foreign-registered yachts will be permitted in the 8 marine scenic spots of Dongying Port, Boao, Shimei Bay, Shenzhou Peninsula, Haitang Bay, Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Longmu Bay, Qizi Bay and Lingaojiao.
Besides, the local maritime authorities also set up a supervision system to regulate the order of foreign-registered yachts in Hainan
