Australia’s Jarred Howse enjoying a perfect clean wave at the O’Neill Hainan Island Surfing Festival.
 
Day one of the two day O’Neill Hainan Island Surf Festival on the exotic Hainan Island in southern China was held in outstanding 1m (3 feet) clean and perfect peeling lefthand point waves.
 
Professional surfers including Jarred Howse (Australia), Mark Mathews (Australia), Sam Bleakley (UK), Holly Beck (USA) and Robert "Wingnut" Weaver (USA) were just some of the outstanding performers in the clean and mechanically peeling left point waves.
 
O’Neill International ambassador at the event Robby Bain, himself a former top ten world professional surfer for many years also impressed the large crowds who turned out to watch an awesome display of surfing with all disciplines including shortboard, longboard and the latest booming trend of Stand Up Paddle included.
 
Regional professional surfing tour manager Dane Jordan is visiting this years event and commented saying " I am super impressed with the surf here, there’s an ambundance of waves everywhere from beachbreaks to points and all have quality and consistency and the setting is superb for a high level professional surfing event."
 
Day two is expecting similar excellent conditions and a full wrap up of the festival along with a gallery of photos will be supplied to all media.
