The first 2013 China UIM Class 1 World Offshore Powerboat Championship (CLASS1) kicked off in Sanya Bay on March 27, and will run until March 30, 2013.

18 top racers from nine of the world’s top teams from 9 countries including Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Norway will compete against each other at CLASS1 in Sanya.

In addition, 6 of the 9 teams will take part in the exciting Aquabike competition, the only pro artistic motorboat event of UIM.

During the same period, a beach ride festival, city parade with 16 special horses, yacht babe contest and other large-scale cultural activities will be held on the beach of Sanya Bay.

CLASS 1 is widely regarded as the pinnacle of international offshore powerboat racing, and each contest will be beamed around the world by the global satellite system of American International Group.
