Beijing will see a notable increase in both overseas and domestic group trips and business trips, thanks to a decrease in the cost of such excursions, Beijing Evening News reported on Tuesday.
 
The paper said China International Travel Service, for example, has been offering holidays for 20 percent less than the price during the National Day holiday.
 
The reason for the cut-price holidays is the fact that air tickets and hotels now cost significantly less.
 
Some companies have seized the opportunity to organize group trips for their employees.
 
Domestic travel destinations mainly include Yunnan, Guangxi and Hainan, while Japan, South Korea and Indonesia have been the most popular choices for overseas trips.
