Hainan Airlines, China's largest privately owned carrier announced the appointment of Airbridge International as its General Sales and Service Agent for Canada, effective Nov/01/10.
 
The airline also announced its new Canada toll-free reservation and information number – 1-877-916-8999 – which will connect travelers to both native English, Mandarin and Cantonese speakers to assist them with their travel needs.

Airbridge will provide reservations, sales and ticketing from Toronto ON, Montreal QC and Vancouver, B.C. – to best serve passengers and travel agents alike.
 
Hainan is the largest non-government owned airline and is the fourth largest airline in China. As the biggest Airline in HNA group, it has a fleet of 104 aircraft, comprising B737, B767 and AIRBUS 330 and 340s. It also has 68 aircraft on order, including ten B787 dreamliners. On November 27th, it will inaugurate its new route Toronto-Beijing 3 times a week with A340-600. The aircraft is equipped with 8 first class seats, 60 business class seats and 220 seats in economy. Through its extensive network in China, Hainan Airlines can connect Toronto travelers to more than 40 Chinese cities, including the capitals of each province, especially to Guangzhou, Fuzhou and Shanghai.

The company has maintained an outstanding safety record during its 17 year history and has earned several major awards, including the Skytrax's "Best Airline China" in year 2008 and 2009. It also is the first and the only airline in China to have "four star airline" status.
