Tan Min, 31, drowns for saving 2 children from flood in Qionghai
A resident of flood-hit Qionghai in Hainan province died after saving two drowning children from floodwaters recently.
Tan Min, 31, rescued the two children from an inundated farmhouse and then attempted to go back to save their family's property.
While running toward the farmhouse, Tan lost his footing on the bridge and disappeared into the water.
His body was recovered the next day.
Tan left behind his wife and 2-year-old daughter.
