Colorful blooming flowers have attracted over 400,000 visitors to the one-month-long flower show in Haitang Bay to celebrate the 2014 Spring Festival since Jan 28.
 
The flower show, which granted tourists free entrance during the period, was held for the first time in Haitang Bay. In the golden week, the flower show received 170,000 tourists, with daily visitor arrivals climbing to 30,000.
 
The Haitang Bay Flower Farm is Sanya’s largest flower farm and garden, and the show is actually a promotion for the local flower industry. Approximately 2,300 acres of flowers are planted in the area with various spring flowers on display in certain zones.
 
The Haitang Bay Flower Farm is listed as one of key provincial projects with an investment of 466 million yuan.
