Secrets of an A-list body: How to get Gary Lineker’s arms
He may have retired from professional football nearly 20 years ago, but Gary Lineker has never looked so fit.
On holiday in Los Angeles last week, the Match Of The Day presenter showed off his toned arms in a tight-fitting T-shirt.
How does he do it?
Gary, 52, plays golf and does circuit-style workouts at the gym.
‘ train three times a week: heavy weights, recovery work, stamina work, with a personal trainer,’ he says.
What to try
The step and press exercise is a great all-round body exercise that tones the arms and legs in one movement.
Stand in front of a bench or box holding a dumbbell or bottle of water in your right hand and raise to shoulder level by bending your elbow.
Put your left foot on the bench and step up.
As you step, raise the weight to the ceiling by straightening your arm. Step down and repeat 12-15 times, then swap sides.
