The World’s Strongest Man 2013 kicked off at Haitang Square in Sanya on August 17th.
The World’s Strongest Man 2013 kicked off at Haitang Square in Sanya on August 17th.
During the competition, athletes participated in such events as viking press, squat lift and overhead lift and car lifting. Many tourists felt amazed at the athletes’ performance of strength.
The event has attracted 30 athletes from different countries in the world, including Russia, the United States, South Africa, Lithuania, Latvia and China to participate in the 8-day competition with 5 qualifying rounds and the finals.
Created in 1977, the World’s Strongest Man has become the premier event in strength athletics. It has been held annually since 1997 and was first held in Sanya in 2006.
